“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.”—Albert Einstein (via thelovelybones)
The Peanut King ushered in the New Revolution at 1800. Unbeknownst to the King, the Cashew Queen was planning a counter-revolution of her own; meaning that the Real New Revolution began at 1900. However, the Walnut Bastard, the Peanut King’s General, would not stand for this and launched the Real Final New Revolution which occurred at 2000. He was victorious and heavily routed the Cashew Army and named his nation the United Nations of Snickers, in memory of his vanquished ally, Peanut King.
The United Nations of Snickers (UNS) was a mighty nation, heavily bolstered by Walnut Bastard’s political and economical acumen. His political manoeuvres ….
forgiveness, redemption and maintaining a clean & honest conscience is something our world doesn’t really pick up on anymore.
we’ll muddle it up with more lies, more mistakes, more offences to love ones, taking options that taint your values and the worst of all: pride.
pride, i think, is one of the biggest killers to mankind. the kind of pride where you feel so worthless you don’t even attempt to take a step forward - that’s pride. and the kind of pride where you believe you’re it. you’re the queen bee. you and only you got to where you were, and no one understand, no one knows, no one can get to where you are in your life - that’s pride.
of course, there’s positive pride. but, how clean is your slate? saying sorry isn’t even as hard as it seems. even if a person doesn’t accept it, that’s their problem not yours.
we need to learn to redeem our offences, and forgive our offenders. come on world. let’s move forward, you’re stuffing us up. don’t let pride dictate your actions.
Computers are categorised in the ”unspeakable topics” where politics, religion and war are. Sorry to cause a massive fight guys, hahah :|
it was a good debate. it had legitimate information from pc & mac users. it went ridiculously tiring when people brought up the law, stats & objective information. when the argument was clearly subjective.
Mac’s dont even have an easy to use word processing software. Which is why they had to use Microsoft Office for MAC. Mac’s wow people with the little, visual effects, but for software its really not all that spectacular. Apple has a habit of leaving out important pieces of software in their technology anyway.
Wrong. iWork has the equivalent of Microsoft Works and Pages is far easier to use and has far more capability for excellent quality than Microsoft Word does. Apple doesn’t often take a bad step when it comes to equalling a PCs capability. However, like everyone supporting Macs said, it’s compatability is one of the downfalls for a mac.
i’m going to end my involvement in this argument with saying that mac’s are incredibly easy to update. what’s good about mac’s is that they’re open to growth and to the little glitches that need fixing. unlike the epic fail that was windows vista, every version of mac is malleable to be improved and corrected. for you pc users: for some apple created programs, they first release a small version of a program (eg. safari) to the users (both pc & mac) that comes with a ‘report bug’ tag. after which, apple then fixes the issues and re-releases it.
oh the wonder of mac.
and mac users use microsoft word to cater to their pc using buddies. we’re not haters, we’re embracers.
i believe you guys own iPods and if you guys can’t seem to enjoy the easy & simple design-friendly orientation that apple mac conveys then you are clearly blind.
i use mac for the sake of graphic design & music… and that it basically works for me with all it’s widgets and whatnots. windows 7 is quite amazing, but according to what i like, it doesn’t hold a candle to mac.
it’s not really about the company, it’s price or it’s design but what it can do for you. calm down. just know that there are legitimate cliche people, living cliche lives, doing things for cliche reasons; who don’t understand how to utilise their mac at all it’s amazing capabilities. and by the by, apple macintosh do well at advertising & marketing themselves. i mean, you wouldn’t be blarthering on about this if they didn’t :)
My beef isn’t with Apple and all their products, i love iPods. My beef are Mac computers, they’ve tried so hard to make them simple and easy to use that I find them horribly complicated. Remember at your house the other day I struggled to go between the things we had open. Also, windows supports the majority if not all programs and even though Macs are getting better, they don’t support the amount of programs Windows can.
They don’t try hard to make them simple at all. That would be Windows 7 you’re talking about, mate. Except it didn’t turn out horribly complicated, it ended up a bit like a blank piece of paper, or a drawing by a three year old.
Apple computers aren’t for people who just want to browse, do homework and use msn. You’ll find the majority of programs Mac users want ARE compatible with Macs if not already on them. As Ana said, Macs are about creativity. Design, music, art, film. They aren’t designed for PC users. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but yes guys, Macs aren’t PCs.
And fyi, they’re totally worth the money.
yar. agreed jurdur. and it’s true pc is compatible with pretty much everything, which is a good thing, and is why 99.9% or business’ that deal with numbers and data use pc.
but then again, mac has a program that makes it compatible to pc programs… you can legit turn your mac into a pc.
also, it takes a bit o’ exploration to get yourself into a mac computer, and you don’t need to install a million things when you first get it. it’s like a grab ‘n’ go.
why have we become so indecisive? ‘i don’t know’. we’re given options, opportunities, choices, mentors of guidance and wisdom, faith, friends, family. And yet, in most situations we seem to conclude with an ‘i don’t know’.
would you like an upsize on life for just 45hrs extra a week? it comes with free discontent wife & kids with a warranty for up to 10 years. 'i don't know'
sometimes we float, drifting in despondence, waiting for the worst to settle or a kick on the butt forcing us to jump to the occasion and chase after things. i believe that most of us don’t really know what we’re doing, or why we’re doing it. that we’re just relying on our luck to get us by. and if worst comes to worst. you’ve still got that huge 50” LCD tv in your bedroom with your favourite channel, with your favourite show that let’s you know, that rachel & ross are going to get back together someday right? ‘i don’t know’
we’re going to become drifters one day kids. we look at our parents and we say ‘no, i’m never going to be like them. so we drift to the opposite end of the pendulum only to realise that it’s led us right back to walk their footsteps and mistakes’.
we look at failing relationships and say ‘marriage will never be that hard’. but in our own, when we reach a struggle we tend to only want what we want, not our partner. they’d ask ‘do you love me?’ ‘i don’t know’. ‘do you even know what what loves is?’ ‘i don’t know’.
we observe our entire school/uni career and wish we did things a bit differently. like submit something a different way, change subjects/courses before it was too late. or not cut off a friendship that happened to get cut. what are you doing at school? ‘i don’t know’. i’m sure you have an answer. but is it THE answer?
i’ll admit, ‘i don’t know’ where i’m going with this. but it adds to it right? 'i don't know' …
regrets, mistakes, choices and opportunities. they all come and fade. but we learn to appreciate the contributions they’ve made - whether we’re happy or not.
but kids, what are you really living for? who are you really living for? why are you living the way you are living? are you happy with yourself? are you content with it all? it’s okay to not have an answer. but let it be a warning sign to a drifting lifestyle. don’t drift. change, be a forerunner and run this race with the right causes, for the right people and get the outcome you always wanted: the ability to answer a question legitimately not with an ‘i don’t know’ you liars :)

i’m going to be up the coast for the next 3 days. how will you do without me? just fine. yeah. i agree. so, leave me some blogs of subtance, images of inspiration and photographs of your mothers holding sporks.
post-script: these kinds of postings are really only relevant if i’m leaving tumblr for a month, but. suck it.
had a fun day today. nothing better than hanging out with a bunch o’ idiots and doing who really knows what. it’s nice to have days where there isn’t really anything to stop you, nothing to worry you. no unnecessary drama that occurred. i’ve observed, that as you age, there is less of a need of things to do, but there’s good times for good conversation about barking, ice, spit, genitalia, deen’s insatiable lust for ally, ally’s dog, ally’s mother and of course… wendy.
whootney, i believe i still have your v. i’m going to enjoy that tomorrow.
and to the couple on platform 14. thank you for making everyone’s day with your make-out session that just didn’t end. it really really did not end. nor was it pretty to look at. but for your sake, and for our humour, we hope you were embarrassed by our applauding. ;)
yes, twas a good day. i believe that in the midst of the death that this year will bring us, in regards to school, it’s still going to be amazing.
i’m changing my topic to the spanish civil war. i have absolutely no idea why are was going to study francisco pizarro, i’ve excavated sydney uni library online and there were only 3 books on what i was doing before.
